Though it is one of the most successful horror film in both commercial and creative sectors with 10 academy nominations it suffered a lot during production with incidents like toddler son of one of the main actors getting hurt which attracted claims that the set was cursed. This Iconic movie is inspired by the 1949 exorcism of Roland Doe with the exorcism being only one of the three accepted by the church.
You won’t forget the image of the child’s possessed face, or her unnatural body positions, including the famous revolving head scene. It is the first movie in the original trilogy of Poltergeist series directed by Steven Spielberg. It revolves around the member of the Freeling family, who are stalked and terrorized by a group ghosts that are attracted to the youngest daughter Carol Anne. You might not think that a movie where the evil is completely faceless could be so terrifying, but in reality that only adds to the scare factor.
