Ups and downs in life are very important to keep us going, because a straight line even in an ECG, means we are not alive. Breakups may happen but that should not put a full-stop to your life. You need to move on and aim for a better you. Here are some ways to help you cope up with a breakup.

#1. Get Busy: Try to engage yourself in activities that make you happy. Didn’t touch that paint brush since long? Or didn’t play that piano? Well, it’s time to get up and do things that are actually worthy of your time. It will surely level up your confidence.


#2. Talk it out: It’s important that you share your story with someone who is understanding enough, your best friend perhaps. Speak up everything so that it doesn’t create negativity inside you. Clear all your doubts and do not leave anything untangled in your mind.


#3. Meditation: Didn’t pull out that yoga mat yet? Better do it now than never. Meditate and exercise to focus on things that you’d left behind. It will strengthen your will power and you’ll find yourself much more energetic than ever before. It will make you believe in yourself and lift up your spirits and helps a lot in dealing with depressions after a breakup.


#4. Go on a vacation: Plan a vacation with your friends. Take out time for yourself and avoid thinking of what happened, till it becomes a distant memory. Add new experiences to forget the ones that no longer bring you joy. Remember, it’s hard but not impossible.

#5. Recall all the great things that you are blessed with: Life gives you blues only so that you value what you have. Had a fight with your mum over your boyfriend? Or broke up with your best friend over him? It’s time to make them feel special for they are the ones who stand by us through thick and thin and make our life wonderful.
